There are videos, instruction manuals, YouTube videos, and grandma’s advice on how to use cloth diapers. You fold one way for boys, another way for girls, one way for newborns and use two or three diapers folded together for toddlers; then you fasten them with sharp diaper pins and hope you do not prick your baby doing so. What a hassle! Early prefold diapers had Velcro attachments that invariably got weaker with washings and were set so they did not always fit babies tightly, resulting in sagging and leaks. The alternative seemed to be disposable diapers, which are a constant expense and result in massive amounts of trash, both in the home and in the landfill. There is, however, another much better alternative on today’s market.
